When fuel supply needs to be safe, mobile and efficient, a custom-built container is often the smartest solution. Workcon has recently delivered another complete fueling station – a compact 20-ft container equipped with both a diesel installation and an integrated AdBlue system.
The solution is designed to provide the customer with reliable, compliant fuel handling directly on site, without the need for extensive groundworks or permanent installations.
Combined solution for fuel and AdBlue in one unit
The container houses a 10 m³ Class 3 tank for diesel, HVO or RME – fuels that are often used in parallel in contracting and heavy transport. To meet modern requirements for emission reduction, the station also includes a separate, integrated 3 m³ AdBlue tank.
Two pumps provide high flexibility, and the pumps can serve both passenger cars and heavy vehicles. The pump on the right has two nozzles:
-
Truck pump: up to 120 litres/minute
-
Car pump: approx. 70 litres/minute
The pump on the left, with the blue nozzle:
-
AdBlue system: 40 litres/minute for heavy vehicles
The entire installation is complemented by a payment terminal and clearly separated filling zones, designed to simplify use and ensure the correct fuel type is used.
Mobile and permit-free within the right volume limits
For many companies, permits is a decisive factor. The fuel tank is sized to remain below the 10 m³ threshold, meaning it can be set up via a simple notification to the local rescue service (fire authority). In other words, no extensive permit process is required.
This makes the solution ideal for, for example:
-
road and infrastructure projects
-
construction machinery in the field
-
haulage companies and bus terminals
-
temporary depots
-
fueling facilities where traceable fueling is required (e.g. when HVO is specified in procurement contracts)
With an on-site fueling station, operations can quickly ensure the right fuel is used – while also gaining control and logging of refueling, something that is becoming increasingly important in procurement environments.
Custom container tailored to the customer’s needs
Over the years, Workcon has built a large number of tank and fuel containers with pumps on the long side or end wall, additional tank sections, varying sizes, and different types of terminals.
This particular station features a compact design where every cubic metre of the container is used to its full potential, without compromising service access or safety.
Why choose a container-based fueling station?
A mobile tank container offers several clear advantages:
-
Relocatable: can be transported between projects (as an empty unit)
-
Cost-effective: no extensive groundworks required
-
Safe: integrated spill containment, protected tank, pump module with safety valves
-
Traceable fueling: connected terminal enables control and documentation
-
Flexible: works equally well for diesel, HVO and RME
-
Fast installation: placed on a level surface and commissioned immediately
Workcon has built similar installations in many configurations, from small units for smaller fleets to larger fuel depots and two-storey solutions for high volumes.
Delivery in approximately eight weeks
From enquiry to commissioned fueling station, the typical lead time is approximately eight weeks, depending on component deliveries and any special features requested.
Workcon does not normally stock pumps or terminals; each station is built by hand and tailored to the customer’s project and fuel strategy.
One of many examples of Workcon’s custom container solutions
This station is a clear example of Workcon’s core: practical, robust, customer-adapted container solutions.
Since 2012, the company has worked exclusively with special-purpose containers for industry, contracting and defence and always with a focus on functionality, safety and feasibility.
